Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Department Assistant to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of our parts department, providing essential support to both our sales team and customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for machinery, a commitment to outstanding customer service, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the parts department.
- Receiving, stocking, and managing inventory levels.
- Processing orders and requests for parts from both internal and external customers.
- Providing exceptional customer service, including responding to enquiries and offering advice on parts selection.
- Maintaining an organised and efficient parts warehouse.
- Working closely with the sales and service departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Utilising the company’s inventory management system to track orders and inventory.
Requirements:
- A keen interest in agriculture and construction machinery.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with clients professionally.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- GCSEs or equivalent, particularly in Maths and English.
- Previous experience in a parts department or similar environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
